Since a few weeks ago, we have tried to make ordering from our website easier!

We have added a feature which allows you to order from our website directly from your company's own SAP Ariba interface. By using OCI (Open Catalog Interface) PunchOut. PunchOut refers to the procedure whereby a buyer uses their ERP or e-procurement system to access an online store from a supplier.

Within the eProcurement platform you use, the catalogues make it simple to search for products from your favourite suppliers, view discounts, and add goods to a shopping cart.

A step-by-step guide

• Accessing the procurement system
• The buyer uses the eProcurement portal and chooses the supplier from whom they want to acquire items or search for the items they want to purchase.
• Accessing the supplier’s eCommerce website
• While still in the procurement system, the buyer can access the supplier’s eCommerce shop, product offerings, prices, and inventory levels.
• Shopping
• The application lets the buyer browse the supplier's store and add things to the cart.
• Data transfer for carts
• When customers finish their shopping, the data of the order is automatically sent to the buyer’s eProcurement platform.
• Purchasing request
• With the supplied order data, the procurement system generates a Purchase Requisition and routes it for approval per the buyer’s procurement policy
• Purchase Order Form
• When the request is granted, the supplier is issued a buy order to fulfil the order.

In short, after a simple login, the desired products can be selected in the webshop (with image descriptions and based on the agreed commercial terms and conditions). After which, when the order is placed, the shopping basket is fed directly into SAP Ariba. This ensures that all information is complete and up-to-date, saving you much time as a customer.
